Statement
There are more than 10,000 different facial expressions humans can use to communicate non-verbally with the muscles in our faces. Add in the other 600 muscles of the body and there are an uncounted number of ways to communicate with the human body. I am interested in how this communication works and the importance of the relationship the body has to itself and the things around it. Through the use of a variety of sculptural mediums, I look to explore that dynamic between non-verbal communication and how the context of the space it inhabits influences the interpretation of that communication.
