Freshly graduated from Colorado State University with a BFA in Sculpture, Sebastian Smith is now finding success as a professional artist. As soon as he could hold a pencil he was drawing dragons and monsters and creatures of fantasy. His work has since matured pulling inspiration from various sources such as art history, the human figure, and philosophy. Much of this inspiration is derived from growing up with parents deeply involved with personal development philosophies and an intensive study of the Christian faith, These influences have pushed Sebastian to his current line of work where he is interested in personal connections and the universals that make us human. He spent a year working for one of the contemporary masters of hyper-realism sculpture, John DeAndrea, honing his knowledge of the human form, Currently, Sebastian is working at a bronze foundry while also delving into his own work in Fort Collins, Colorado.
